Shane Drinkwater utilises his own coded language of lines, dashes, and dots. His labyrinthine works flooded with personal meaning. The ambiguity of markmaking and composition allowing viewers to explore their own perceptions in decoding his language. The journey the viewers mind embarks upon when contemplating his work reminding us of the fleeting choices our minds are forced to make on a day to day basis.
Recently partaking in group shows at Gallery Molly Krom in NY, USA, Dusk Editions in Brooklyn NY, USA, Boom Gallery in Victoria, Australia, Sardine Gallery in Brooklyn, NY, USA and May Space in Sydney, Australia. In 2017 his work was shown at various events such as the Copenhagen Outsider Art Gallery, Denmark, Tischenko Gallery in Helsinki, Finland, and The Painting Center in New York, USA. His work can be found in the Tasmanian public art collection at the Devonport Regional Art Gallery and also the Burnie Regional Gallery.
